Principal
6. What's the process for nominating/voting for the student of the month?
We look at the students who are a bit outcasted and we look at what they're into and what they have accomplished. If they have met to quality standards, we like to get them out there, try more things, and excel rather than just… be in the background, I suppose.
16. Why did you choose to nominate the Student of the Month that we have now?
He has… Er, potential. And we know he has it but he needs to excel and put forth more effort. We know he can do well, so he became the Student of the Month, as a sort of encouragement.
17. What are some qualities you look for in potential students for Student of the Month?
We look for the ones who have a spark in them that they don't light themselves. It's the ones who have potential but just don't put themselves out there for everyone to notice or to help them show their hidden spark.
18. What is your advice to students who would like to become one of the Student of The Month?
Definitely show us you've got that light behind your eyes. Show us you have potential. But that's about it… It's more of an observing sort of thing, they don't apply or try out. We observe and make our own decisions on who we think needs that boost like being the Student of the Month.
19. Why did this Student of the Month program start?
We believe this could help some students see their hidden talent and also get out there- join more clubs or organizations, get in the groove of the school, and show their intelligence more. It's a helpful sort of thing!
20. How do you think this effects other students knowing there is a chosen/nominated Student of the Month?
I think it most-likely encourages them. they get a badge and a photo on the office wall every month and also it goes on their school records. It's a very positive thing so, yes, I think this will effect students where they'll want to show they have potential to get out there and show what they've got to the student body.
