During World War II, all the action and danger was overseas. But once Japan dropped bombs on Pearl Harbor, the US entered the deadly war. Hundreds of people died and we lost many supplies and boats involving the harbor.
This is an absolutely terrifying moment in our history. This marked us entering the bloody war that is World War II. And this sudden attack came as a shock- a surprise that swept our army and military forces in act. This is a sad event, but also a very important moment in our history. It was the beginning of a major change in the world.
Women win the vote. 1920.
Women had been struggling immensely with their rights around this time. Before the 20's hit, women were not nearly treated as equal as men. They were separated from them with little equal rights. But once they won the vote to let them in on a chance at having a say, it changed the nation and also helped women grow with pride and strength.
This was one of the biggest movements in getting Women Equal Rights. Being able to vote was major and almost no female could at all- no matter the age. It helped show the world that we would not stop until we had our say in being equal and treated fairly, shredding the stereotypes that are pinned onto us. This moment of just a small thing as being able to vote was a huge step for… women-kind?
